At the 5th Meeting of the Coordinating Committee of Women Parliamentarians of AIPA (WAIPA), the Women Parliamentarians of AIPA reported progress in the implementation of the Women’s Political Participation and Leadership (WPPL) Plan of Action 2024–2030.

AIPA Member Parliaments shared concrete steps to advance gender-transformative institutions — from cross-party women’s caucuses and gender-responsive budgeting to safer, more inclusive parliamentary environments. Efforts to nurture future leaders through youth engagement and mentorship, alongside reforms in data systems, budgeting, oversight, and evidence-based policymaking, are translating commitment into tangible action across the region.
