AIPA shall establish regular communication, interaction and consultation with ASEAN to ensure better coherence and cooperation between the ASEAN governments, the National Parliaments of ASEAN Member States, and stakeholders in ASEAN, as well as to enhance relationships with ASEAN bodies.

The President of AIPA and the Secretary-General shall represent AIPA consistent with the policy directions of the General Assembly when conducting relations and activities with ASEAN.
