
In an effort to robust the implementation of Sustainable Development Goals (#SDGs) under the United Nations Agenda 2030 in the regional level, especially Goal 4 โEnsure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for allโ, the Vietnam National Assembly hosted AIPA Conference “๐๐๐ฃ๐ ๐ฃ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐น๐ถ๐ฎ๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ ๐ฃ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐๐ป๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐ต๐ถ๐ฝ ๐ผ๐ป ๐๐ฑ๐๐ฐ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐ฎ๐น ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐๐น๐๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐น ๐๐ผ๐ผ๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ ๐ฆ๐๐๐๐ฎ๐ถ๐ป๐ฎ๐ฏ๐น๐ฒ ๐๐ฒ๐๐ฒ๐น๐ผ๐ฝ๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐” on July 30th, 2020. The event were attended by H.E. Phung Quoc Hien, Vice – President of the National Assembly; the United Nations (UN) representative in Vietnam, Mr Michael Croft, the Inter-Parliamentary Union Secretary General, Mr. Martin Chungong; and parliamentarians of AIPA member parliaments as well as the Vietnam government’s representatives and diplomatic corps and international organizations.
The event emphasized the important role of parliaments in making legal framework for distance education and online education in the context of COVID-19 pandemic, to conserve and connect cultural heritages in ASEAN in coherence with sustainable tourism development and in mobilizing resources for educational and cultural development serving sustainable development goals.
